It isn’t the same, but you do get it right away.

You can scroll, you can zoom in, you can try to print it on your own to have and to hold but it won’t be the same…digital facsimiles never are.

Man, I wish you were holding the printed out version instead, but I’m still glad you are interested in checking it out.

I created a 48-page zine about my experience undergoing cancer treatment to share and connect with others.

The zine includes:

  • 5 original essays exploring that hardest and most tender aspects of being a cancer patient

  • 2 hand-drawn comics highlighting some of the absurdities

  • Eating map, hand-drawn, of the area around Sloan Kettering main hospital and the Sloan Kettering Rockefellar Clinic

  • Movies and playlists that were important to me during treatment

  • Quotes that hit me to the core and still reverberate inside me.

  • Collages, lots of them, exploring different facets of treatment from painting your nails for surgery to how to make your radiation treatment a fun social hang with your friends.

  • Infographic breaking down the actual costs of treatment

  • and more!
